Description of the clinic
BCRM Bath is a satellite clinic of Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine (BCRM) located at Sulis Hospital in Bath. The clinic provides expert fertility assessment, advice, and consultations. Initial blood tests and semen analysis are arranged at the time of consultation booking and are undertaken at BCRM Bristol. Patients progressing to treatment come to BCRM's main clinic at Aztec West in Bristol for egg collection and embryo transfer. The clinic offers assisted reproductive technologies including IVF, ICSI, IUI using partner or donor sperm, and egg donation. BCRM was established in 1983 as a joint research project between the University of Bristol and Southmead Hospital. The main clinic relocated to a purpose-built state-of-the-art facility at 135 Aztec West in Bristol in 2021. BCRM reports having one of the best success rates with IVF and other fertility treatments, with IVF and ICSI success rates in fresh cycles reported as 19% higher than the national average.
