Description of the clinic

The IVF Center (Tüp Bebek Merkezi) is a fertility clinic within Konya Şehir Hastanesi (Konya City Hospital), a public hospital operated by the Turkish Ministry of Health. The IVF Center was licensed by the Ministry of Health in June 2012, relocated to Konya Şehir Hastanesi in September 2020, and began accepting patients in January 2021. It is the only IVF center affiliated with the Ministry of Health serving Konya and the surrounding region. The clinic operates approximately 1,000 m² of dedicated space designed to meet regional fertility care needs. The center provides both government-subsidized and private IVF treatment. The clinic is staffed by 8 specialized physicians (2 teaching faculty members and 6 specialist doctors), 2 biologists, 2 laboratory technicians, 2 nurses, 2 clinical support staff, 2 support staff, and 4 secretaries. Facilities include 2 outpatient consultation rooms, blood draw room, patient consultation room, waiting area, 2 operating rooms (for TESE and OPU procedures), embryology laboratory, andrology laboratory, 3 patient recovery rooms with 6-bed capacity, 2 sperm collection rooms, vaccination room, and reception desk. The center offers OPU (oocyte retrieval), ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection), routine sperm collection, TESE/MESA (surgical sperm retrieval), embryo and oocyte co-culture, embryo and sperm freezing/thawing, oocyte freezing/thawing, assisted hatching, spermiogram, sperm washing and staining, ovarian stimulation, IUI (intrauterine insemination), and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) cellular therapy. The center uses modern laboratory equipment including laminar flow hoods, incubators, stereoscopic and inverted microscopes, micromanipulator systems, toxic gas filtration systems, phase contrast microscopes, centrifuges, and operating microscopes. All procedures comply with Ministry of Health regulations and are subject to inspection by the Provincial Health Directorate every six months.
