Description of the clinic
Semovo Sheffield is a sperm donation clinic located at LivingCare - Sheffield Private Scanning & Medical Services. The facility operates as part of the Semovo network, a UK-based sperm bank created by the team from Manchester Fertility. The Sheffield location provides sperm donation services for men aged 18-45, offering comprehensive screening, counselling, and sample analysis. Donors are required to commit to weekly donations for approximately 6-12 months (20-30 donations total). The clinic conducts thorough health screening including blood and urine tests for STIs, genetic conditions, and general health checks. Sperm samples are frozen in liquid nitrogen and quarantined for at least three months before release for patient use. Compensation is provided at £45 per clinic visit (£35 per visit plus £10 accrued). The facility is regulated by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) and accepts donors from all backgrounds. Donation times are limited to Fridays 10:00-13:30.
