About me
Associate Professor Vasilis Palapelas is an Obstetrician-Gynaecologist with specialization in Reproductive Endocrinology, Human Assisted Reproduction and Laparoscopic Surgery. He studied medicine at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (1975-1981) and completed his PhD in 1981. He was a member of the team that achieved the first successful IVF birth in Germany (1981-1982). He founded the Centre for In Vitro Fertilization in Thessaloniki in 1992 after 20 years in Germany, and is now Associate Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School.
