About me

Dr Efstathios Diakos graduated from University of Rome 'La Sapienza' in 1994 with a thesis in male infertility. He moved to the UK in 2001 and completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, gaining entry to the GMC Specialist Register as a Consultant in 2004. He trained in fertility at Newcastle Fertility Centre and Bourn Hall Clinic, Cambridge. He is accredited by the RCOG in Management of the Infertile Couple and Assisted Reproduction, and by the British Fertility Society in Pelvic Ultrasound for Reproductive Medicine. He has special interests in male infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, and fertility preservation, and was the doctor behind the first pregnancy conceived in Ireland using frozen eggs. He founded In-OVO Fertility Clinic in Belfast in 2019.
