About me

Dr. Leonidas Mamas studied Medicine at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating in 1971. He specialized in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Marika Eliadis Hospital and received further training at Hammersmith Hospital, University of London in the Department of Human Reproduction. He completed his doctoral thesis at the University of Athens and received the European Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FEBOG) in 1995. Since 1986, he has practiced privately in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, focusing on assisted reproduction since 1986. He is Medical Director of Neogenesis since 1999 and has pioneered DHEA therapy for premature ovarian failure, with results published in Fertility and Sterility (2009). He holds a patent for an innovative cervical clamp device (DNB cervical clamp) used in sperm insemination.
