About me

Dr. Thalia Mama completed her BSc in Molecular Genetics at King's College, University of London (2003) and continued with an MSc in Molecular Life Sciences Research from the same university (2004, Distinction). She pursued a second MSc in Prenatal Genetics in Fetal Medicine at University College London, focusing on reproduction and genetics. She was accepted into the UCL Centre for PGD at the Institute for Women's Health for doctoral studies, where she trained in preimplantation genetic diagnosis. For seven years, she worked as a member of the group under internationally recognized scientists, developing and optimizing protocols for genetic disease cases and implementing array CGH techniques. Her research focused on embryonic aneuploidy at the preimplantation stage, including development and application of aCGH and DNA recombination studies in gametes.
