About me

İrem Yaralı Özbek graduated from Sabancı University, Molecular Biology and Genetics Department in 2011. She completed an internship at Harvard University's Complex Genetic Disorders Department in 2010 and earned a master's degree in Reproduction and Cancer Biology from John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2011-2012). She completed a 2-year master's program in Clinical Embryology and Andrology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, US, which achieved the first IVF baby in the US. She is one of the very rare embryologists with formal training in Clinical Embryology and Infertility. She received microinjection training at Universitair Ziekenhuis (UZ) Brussels, where the first microinjection baby in humans was achieved in 1992. She has worked at Anatolia IVF since 2012 and has been IVF laboratory director since 2017.
