Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. Born in Thessaloniki, graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School in 1976 with distinction. Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (1982). Postgraduate training in Paris (1983-1986) in assisted reproduction, microsurgery, andrology, family planning, ultrasound, and reproductive physiology. Head of the Unit of Assisted Reproduction at the First University Clinic of Hospital Alexandra, EKPA (1986-2017). Holds ultrasound certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Extensive clinical experience in infertility and IVF over 26 years. Research focus on ovulation induction protocols, embryo implantation factors, male factor investigation, and ICSI. Laboratory research on embryo development, implantation, and molecular biology of hormone receptors and pharmacogenetics. Author of multiple chapters in Greek medical texts and publications in international journals. Author of two monographs in French.
