About me

Professor Beata Banaszewska has worked in reproductive medicine and gynaecological endocrinology for over 20 years. Her main research focus is infertility and gynaecological endocrinology, particularly polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She specializes in insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia in PCOS women, and obesity treatment in women of reproductive age and menopause. Her research includes 20 years of studies on various pharmacological treatments for PCOS, metformin application, statins for hyperandrogenism reduction, resveratrol for testosterone and insulin resistance reduction, microbiota role in PCOS pathogenesis, psychoemotional disorders in PCOS, and synbiotics for PCOS and obesity. She contributed to introducing endoscopic techniques and co-founded Klinika Pastelova in 2022.
