About me
Prof. Dr. Volkan Baltacı was born in Ankara in 1964 and graduated from Ankara University Medical School in 1988. He completed his specialty in Medical Genetics in 1993 and received his associate professorship in 1999. He completed his doctorate in Toxicology in 2003. Since 1993, he has performed prenatal genetic diagnosis tests on over 30,000 patients. He subsequently concentrated his studies on reproductive genetics and preimplantation genetic diagnosis, publishing numerous domestic and foreign articles. He has served as faculty in the Genetics Departments of various universities and worked at Baylor College in Houston, USA on reproductive genetics. He was promoted to professor in February 2008 and currently serves as Head of the Medical Genetics Department at Yüksek İhtisas University Medical School.
