About me
Athanasios Kastoras is a Consultant Gynaecologist and founding member of the Unit of Reproductive Medicine at Maternity Hospital Lito. He graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School in 1975 and completed his PhD on congenital anomalies of the rectoproctic region in girls. Since 1984, he has dedicated himself to infertility, beginning with the IVF center at Maternity Hospital Athens. In 1995, he joined the Unit of Reproductive Medicine, creating the modern IVF center at Maternity Hospital Mitera. He is a member of the Medical Association of Athens, the Greek Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, the Greek Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy, the Greek Society of Gynaecological Endocrinology, the Union of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Greece, and the Greek Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has participated as a delegate or organizing committee member in Greek and international conferences on IVF, gynaecology, ultrasound, colposcopy, hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.
